Kuata is nestled along a white sandy beach. The island features magnificent tall peaks with some amazing rock formations and the summit walk is well worth the effort offering spectacular views of the Islands. The Resort is of a basic standard but the friendly hospitality, superb location and a great variety of activities combine to provide a fantastic holiday experience. Not for everyone but try the boat trip out to the Reef where the staff take you “snorkelling with the sharks”!

Sunset Waya

Sunset Waya / Twin Bay is set on a delightful beachfront setting with a sand spit exposed at low tide which connects it with neighbouring Waya Lailai Island. Sunset Waya Resort is a popular beach hangout for singles and budget travellers set in the Yasawas.

The attractive beachfront and good snorkeling coupled with a well organised list of daily activities make this one of the more lively resorts as well as one of the cheapest. Accommodation is in either private bures with shared bathrooms or dormitory style lodges. The bures are away from the main restaurant to ensure privacy.

Accommodation is in traditional thatch bures with very basic private bathrooms (cold water shower and flush toilet but no hand basin or proper taps). The dormitory has twelve single beds in a wooden lodge and has basic communal bathrooms at the back.

Dining & Entertainment
The restaurant serves a set meal plan in the high roof thatch bure with sand floor, ensuring an intimate experience to fit in with the resorts image. Weekly theme dinners include a sunset dinner on the beach and a traditional Fijian lovo night with dancing.

Night entertainment and activities are arranged at dinner and include guided hiking around the stunning mountains, snorkelling to the outer reef, night snorkelling (you eat what you catch – lobster, crabs etc), hand line fishing, round island boat trips and a visit to stunning Natawa Village.

White Sandy Beach Resort is a family run small business on popular Korovou Beach on the island of Naviti and offers a more intimate setting than its two backpacker neighbours, being ideally suited to couples and more mature single travellers A dive centre (certified divers only) also makes this a popular spot for diving enthusiasts.

Recommended for backpackers or families like to to stay in comfortable accommodation. Guests rave about the food and the famous dining under the stars setting. The restaurant are traditionally thatched with floors covered with sand. Paradise at it’s best.

Accommodation is in traditional style bungalows with louvre windows and ceramic tiled floors, each with private en-suite bathrooms – there are just two bungalows for couples and one for families (sleeping five people). A 12-bed dormitory in a picturesque thatch bure shares an outdoor bamboo wall bathroom with flush toilet and spring water shower.

Dining & Entertainment

Meals are served at set times in either the beautiful open sided thatch restaurant, or, weather permitting, on beachfront tables. Trawling and hand line fishing can be arranged, as can snorkel trips to the Manta Rays in season (May to Oct, minimum 4 people), and there’s a traditional feast night on Friday with meke dancing.
